Not sure if Microblading is for you? Here are some FAQ's that may help you decide..

What Is Microblading?

Microblading is a procedure used to create the appearance of healthy, full, and natural eyebrows, perfectly structured to complement one's facial features. The process involves a trained technician using a tiny  "microblade" to hand place fine-lines of pigment into the skin to mimic the appearance of real hair.  This can be done to replace hair that has been lost, add hair for more fullness or boldness, add definition to the brow shape, or even change the shape of the brow entirely!  Results are semi-permanent, lasting up to 3 years depending on individual skin type and care routines.

Does Microblading Hurt?

The Microblading process is relatively painless.  Most people compare the feeling of Microblading to that of a Tweezing or Brow Threading session- irritating, but totally bearable.  Numbing agents are applied before and during the process to minimize discomfort as much as possible.

How Long Is The Process?

The Microblading process is done in 2 stages:

-The initial appointment lasts about 2.5 hours, give or take about 30 minutes.  This is where the groundwork takes place. Together, you and I discuss your goals, determine the best brow shape for your face, pigment for the most natural look,  measure, and map the brow area.  This process typically takes about 1 hour. Once your perfect Brow has been determined, the first Microblading session begins.

-After the foundation has been laid in the first session, 4-6 weeks later a touch-up appointment may be needed to do the fine-tuning and perfecting.  At this appointment, we will fill in any sparse areas, perfect the shape, and tweak pigment as needed.

How Long Will My New Brows Last?

Your new Brows will be fabulous for anywhere from 1-3 years depending on individual skin type, routines, and compliance with after-care protocols. Most clients prefer to maintain their stunning brows with touch-ups every 12-18 months. This will keep your brows looking fresh indefinitely!

What is After-Care Like?

The healing process definitely requires some TLC.  Right after the procedure, your brows will be the freshest and most fabulous things you have ever seen!  However- they will also be the most vulnerable, so it is very important to keep them protected. Upon leaving the studio- I will apply a thin layer of clear balm to protect your brows from bacteria and dust in the air.  Over the next 7-10 days, it will be your job to keep them dry & protected. For more information on this please view the full aftercare form.

Is There Anything I Should Do To Prepare for My Appointment?

Yes! There is a full list of what to avoid before your appointment and how to prepare.  A couple of key points: Alcohol and Ibuprofen/Aspirins should be avoided within 24 hours of your procedure due to their blood-thinning properties.
